Documentary-style family photo session on their own farmland in McKinney Texas

Some of my favorite sessions are the ones that take place at home—or in this case, on the family’s own farmland in McKinney. Two young kids, wide open fields, a few curious cows, and a couple of friendly barn cats made for the kind of session I never want to end.

We spent the evening exploring: climbing up on tractors, tossing feed to the cows, and running wild through the grass. The kids were fully in their element. This is what I love most about documentary style family photos—no pressure, no forced smiles, just honest, everyday magic.
